Company History

Founded in 1999, YapStone, the corporate parent of Utility-Payment, is one of the largest processors in the country with a focus on building industry specific payment platforms. Through the vision of founders Tom Villante, Chairman of Yapstone, and Matt Golis, CEO, Yapstone was born. The idea was to create a payment processing company that for the first time would allow companies to accept multiple forms of payment - credit card, e-checks, remote deposit capture - with better transaction detail reporting than traditional merchant service providers. Over the last 10 years, we continue to innovate and remain a leader in providing industry specific solutions.

Yapstone is headquartered in the heart of the financial district in San Francisco, California, just across from the landmark Transamerica Pyramid, with additional offices in Salt Lake City, Utah, Santa Monica, California, Santa Barbara, California, and Jacksonville, Florida.
